Youth4Hospice
Dance-A-Thon

Youth4Hospice held its
first-ever Dance-A-Thon on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the
Rockland Country Day School in Congers from 7pm-midnight.
With refreshments, DJ Andy from
moonlightdj.net,
and coveted prizes for top fundraisers, the event was open to all Rockland high school
students. More than 130 kids attended,
raising $6300 for Hospice!

19th Annual Rockland Road Runners Spring Walk and Run to
Benefit Hospice
On Sunday, April 13th, the
Rockland Road Runners hosted its 19th Spring Walk and Run to
Benefit UHR. More than 700 runners and walkers came out to
tackle Rockland Lake's Hook
Mountain, raising over $30,000 for Hospice! Many thanks to
all our participants, volunteers and once again to Ricki
Berger, who was the highest fundraiser for Hospice.

Second
Generation Motorcycle Run -- July 27, 2008
For the second consecutive year,
the Second Generation "Dice Run" motorcycle ride will
benefit UHR. Save the date for July 27, 2008. Sign up is at

Childrens
Memorial Rock Garden -- June 25, 2008

UHR’s sixth annual Memorial
Rock Garden dedication will take place on June 25th, 2008 outside
the Provident Bank Hope and Healing Center at Hospice.
Youngsters who have recently lost a loved one will have the
opportunity to place hand painted and decorated rocks in the
garden in memory of that special person.
The program is designed to help children and their families
move past their grief over the loss of a loved one and go on
to live emotionally, mentally and physically healthy lives.

Hugs
for Hospice
UHR’s Hugs for
Hospice Campaign runs every year for the month of November.
Local businesses collect donations for the benefit of UHR in exchange
for a hug!

spearheading this program. This year the Hugs for Hospice
campaign raised over $26,000 worth of hugs for the

Rockland County Music Teacher’s Guild Music Marathon
Save the Date for 08 --
December 13 & 14, 2008 at the Palisades Center
The Rockland County Music Teacher’s Guild
held its Seventh Annual Music Marathon for the benefit of
UHR’s Music Therapy Program on December 8th and 9th at the
Palisades Mall. The 2007 Music Marathon was a
huge success, raising more than $20,500 for the benefit of
Hospice -- a new marathon record! More than 450 music
students participated and raised money through personal
sponsorships and from donations made by the appreciative
crowds at the Palisades Mall. Special thanks to piano
teacher and Guild organizer Marilyn Hazan, who
spearheaded the event once again.

Tree of Life -- Save the Date for 08 -- December 16, 2008 at
the Palisades Center
The 2007 Tree of Life took place
on Monday, December 17 with entertainment by Michael Mark.
More than 2000 stars illuminated the mall and Hospice raised
